Tesla : An Interesting Company

I think you have probably heard of Tesla somewhere before whether in news or on Internet. Tesla company derives its name from Nicola Tesla who was among the first scientists to work with electricity. 

Tesla is a company that emphasizes stored electricity in vehicles rather than running on pollution causing and soon to be end fossil fuels. 

General Info

The company headquarter is established in Palo Alto, California and it was founded on July 1, 2003. Elon Musk was one of its founders.

It is a U.S. based company and most of the manufacturing happens there but the business of the company is expanded to Europe as well as Australia.

 Product Lineup

As the previous name of the company(Tesla Motors) suggests, it was firstly established with the aim to make battery operated cars which would be very environmentally friendly.

The first car of the company was Model 1 which got a lot of fame in media as it was one of the first mainstream fully battery operated car.

Then the company released more cars and increased its car lineup. After its name changed to just Tesla Inc., the company released more products outside of car business.

It has established solar plants in Australia and started selling Solar Panels.

Current Products

This is the list of some of the many products that are offered by Tesla.

1. Model 3

It is the successor to Tesla's model 1 and model 2. It is one of the latest offerings from the company and it packs a lot of tech inside it.

2. Model S

It was launched alongside the Tesla model 3. It was the high end car then and it gathered a lot of headlines.

3. Model X

It is currently the best electric car that Tesla has to offer. It is superior to all other models in terms of technology and design.

4. Power Bank

 The company also made a few mobile power banks but they were just showpiece and a status symbol of Tesla brand. Their capacity was merely 2500 mAh.

5. Solar Roof  Tiles

It is one of the most successful products from Tesla as they are sold worldwide and have numerous users.

They are just solar panels in the form of roof tiles which are fitted on top of the house and provide us with clean renewable energy.

Future Plans

Currently there are two cars in the pipeline which are Model Y and Roadster. These cars are available to pre-order on the official website of Tesla.

Also, the company had announced an electric semi-truck named Semi two years ago and hopefully we will see them running on roads in the near future.

Tesla is currently expanding its business around the globe and it is soon expected to launch its products in India.
